Bobcat Pause is an annual event proudly hosted by Student Foundation. The ceremony honors students, faculty, staff, and administration as well as friends and honorary members of the Texas State community who have recently passed away. The event showcases the deceased's pride in and loyalty and dedication to Texas State University and celebrates their memory with family and friends, current students, faculty, staff, and administration. With this event, Student Foundation hopes to instill the importance of remembrance and family and to offer comfort to those who mourn the deceased.

The ceremony includes a short introduction, a roll call (reading of the names of Texas State family members and friends who are deceased), and a moment of silence, a time during which family members, friends, and loved ones can bring forward flowers or other mementos in honor of their loved ones. 

Bobcat Pause Guest Book

Student Foundation invites all students, faculty, staff, administration, and guests to use the online guest book to submit comments in honor of deceased loved ones. With your permission, these comments will be posted on this website and may be used during Bobcat Pause Memorial services.
